Meadow in the Middle

With an afternoon to kill, I decided to grab my camera and go back to Kahle Community Center. I shot some hoops until the gym got taken over for league play, then I headed outside for the secondary purpose of the trip. I tossed the basketball into the exploder and grabbed the camera.

I set off hoping to find a path from the community center to the middle school. Today I went from work to school to Kahle to school to home to Kahle. I'm hoping to cut out a few of those short gas-guzzling trips from my Tuesday/Thursday routine. Kahle and the middle school are on the same side of the street, and about a mile and a half on the street.

I wasn't sure if I'd have to bush-whack, trespass, or both--but luckily for me there was already a nice little path. It is a dirt path, which sort of winds through a forest then opens up into a nice meadow. Then the school is through another little patch of forest. I wish the path was a bit shorter, but I'd rather walk or jog it than drive. My chances of getting eaten by a cougar increase 100 fold by jogging the trail, but... I like cats.

Here are a few pictures:
1)Meadow
2)Camo bird--I can barely see this bird. Can you non-colorblind people see it?
3)Baseball diamond at Kahle overlooking the lake
4)Line Drive University vs. The Yankees... GO LINEDRIVE U!
